When managing risk, providers need to consider size, complexity, technical infrastructure, hardware, and software security compatibilities and costs when reviewing their digital network so that they are in compliance. Obviously, a larger group practice needs a more formal review that must include reporting and an infrastructure that meets the security needs for the primary practice and all of its satellites. It should be your intention to identify problems and then not only come up with solutions but keep records of tracking the problems’ resolution. This is a team effort that involves senior management as well as your IT staff and computer consultant(s).
